Neural Manipulation
........................................................................
Neural refers to the nervous system of the body, which includes the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. A nerve only functions correctly when it is able to move freely within its surrounding structures. The nervous system acts as a communication highway throughout the body. When the nervous system becomes dysfunctional:
  • it will cause the body to protect or compensate to help that area
  • its responsiveness is diminished
  • the body's ability to utilize its innate self-corrective abilities is hindered
  • the body's constant search for equilibrium becomes more difficult.
Neural Manipulation (NM) identifies local nerve restrictions and fixation (when "fixed," a nerve cannot glide and/or stretch, causing sensitivity and pain) while examining their effects on the rest of the body. NM is a gentle, hands-on therapy, comprised of precise engagement, mobilization and elongation of the soft tissues and nerves to re-establish neural communication throughout the body. As the source of a problem is released, symptoms will start to decrease and the body’s ability to adapt and restore itself will improve.

NM can benefit:
  • Lower Back Pain & Sciatica
  • Headaches and Migraines
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Joint Pain
  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
  • Whiplash Injuries
  • Tendinitis and Sprains
Once assessed and treated with NM, our therapists might suggest complementary treatment modalities, including physiotherapy, massage therapy and acupuncture.

For an assessment and treatment using Neural Manipulation, please book in with one of the following therapists:
  • Lucas Scrivener RMT
  • Jessica Whidden RMT
